How to Crochet a Headband

Cozy, cute, and endlessly wearable – made to match your style.

1/1 Measure & Chain
Start by measuring around your head or where you want the headband to sit. Chain to that length, slightly shorter for a snug fit.

1/2 Work the Body
Choose your favorite stitch (ribbing with back loop only, puff stitch, or half double crochet) and crochet rows until it reaches your desired width.

2/1 Seam it Together
Fold the band in half and stitch the ends together using a slip stitch or whip stitch. For a twist, use the criss-cross or cinch method when joining.

2/2 Personalize It
Add texture, buttons, bows, or a faux knot in the center. Weave in the ends and give it a quick steam block for polish.
